Back-up your Google data

There is a new tool from Google available to all that want to keep a backup of their Google data.
I know that Google means “free” mail and “free” cloud space for lots of you but for the faint hearted a backup is always welcome.
If we look at the Yahoo issue (due to bad management and hacks is going down faster than the Titanic) and considering the fact that there is no way to get your data from Yahoo in one step so it is prone to disappear when Yahoo pulls the plug we can see that making a backup is not such a bad idea.
Google offers the https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout tool that will get all the Google data associated with your account. Not only the e-mail data but also your calendar entries, tracking data, videos (YouTube uploads) etc. I just downloaded 18GB of data from Google.
